Among the women, Cervical Cancer is spreading alarmingly. To address this segment among rural women, we have started an initiative Sanjeevini Women Healthcare in 2011. The program includes:
Project Area 1. Chittoor District – Rural Villages, Andhra Pradesh
All villages in the following Revenue Mandals:
- KV Palle
- Kalakada
- Kalikiri
- Pileru
Project Area 2. Hyderabad (Telangana) – Urban Slums in Hyderabad surrounding areas
Activities:
- Spreading Awareness among women on Cervical Cancer and other health issues
- Conducting Pre-detection through Pap Smear Test (PST) among vulnerable age group 20 to 65 years
- Providing free medicines in case of infections
- Helping women to undergo biopsies in case of abnormalities
- Supporting follow-up care for surgeries & therapies (Chemo/Radio)
